PreCanSkate is Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program designed for those who have never skated before or who need to learn to balance and begin to move on the ice. Skaters will learn to balance and move forward, backward, and stop, to stride, jump and turn. CSA approved helmets are mandatory.
30 minutes: 5 min warm up, 20 min group lesson, 5 min cool down

CanSkate is Skate Canada’s flagship learn-to-skate program providing kids with the best foundation for figure skating, hockey, and recreational skating. The CanSkate program involves group lessons with Skate Canada certified coaches and Program Assistants in a friendly environment and focuses on agility, balance and control.
Prerequisite for CanSkate: skaters must be able to move forward on the ice and get up by themselves. Participants must be 5 years of age at the start of the Program. CSA approved helmets are mandatory.

Rising Stars are skaters who have reached a certain level in the CanSkate program, and show interest in figure skating. Their lessons will focus more towards figure skating skills, and when they have passed all CanSkate levels they may join our junior STARSkaters.
All lessons are group lessons and are included in registration fees.
45 minutes: 5 min warm up, 35 min group lesson, 5 min cool down
No off-ice instruction currently planned for this year.

STARSkate stands for Skill – Test – Achievement – Recognition. The transition from learning to skate in CanSkate, this program introduces skaters to figure skating skills in four areas – Skills, Ice Dance, Free Skate and Artistic. Skaters will have the opportunity to take Skate Canada Tests through a nationally standardized testing system. Learn more about the Skate Canada STAR program
All skaters in this program must have passed CanSkate Stage 6 or equivalent.
Junior: These skaters are working on elements from Star 1-2. They will receive private lessons as well as group enrichment lessons. Group lessons are included in registration fees. Private lessons are billed separately to the parent/guardian by the coach.
Senior: These skaters are working on levels from Star 2 to Gold. They will receive private lessons as well as group enrichment lessons. Group lessons are included in registration fees. Private lessons are billed separately to the parent/guardian by the coach.
