Yes, there are several programs designed to assist families in covering the costs of ice skating programs. These programs provide financial support to ensure all children have access to skating, regardless of their financial situation. Learn more about funding assistance.
Figure skates have a longer blade and a toe pick at the front, while hockey skates have a shorter blade and no toe pick. Figure skates are designed for jumps and spins, while hockey skates are designed for quick turns and stops.
It is important to keep your ice skates dry and clean after each use. Wipe them down with a soft, dry cloth and store them in a dry place. Do not leave them in direct sunlight or near a heat source.
